[Sophie's never kept a journal before, and she thought it was usually just writing... but these books work a lot differently than normal ones. So, now that she's been here a while and gotten the hang of using the book to communicate, she feels confident in addressing the village as a whole.]

Hello, everyone! My name is Sophie. I live with Asbel and Cheria and the others.

I have a question. What's your favorite flower?

I'm planting a flower garden with flowers from different worlds. The flower shop has seeds, but I don't know which ones to pick. I want lots of people to see and enjoy the flowers, so that's why I want to know which ones everyone likes best.

[Though while she's using the book, she remembers a question she'd wanted to ask Pascal. She's not in the house, but maybe she can try this 'filtering' thing she's seen people do-]

Yes, they do. If the filters aren't strong, other people can break them and read what you tried to hide.

So to keep it secret, they need to be strong. [nod... she gets it. Even if she hasn't realized that means her conversation with Pascal is completely open yet either.] How do I train them?

Train them... That's not quite how it works. You need to train yourself, so you can make them stronger. You just need to understand the theory and then practice with the journal.
